From my experience, any group the members can write or participate in writing songs of their own (just not normally the title track) at any stage of their career. But the older they get and the more experience they have, then they tend to write more of their own stuff B-side wise. They still take songs from other writers, but they get more freedom for creativity the longer they're around. For example; Twice members didn't write a lot of their songs in the first few albums, but now most of their B-side are written by members (with other writers) and some members even compose the songs themselves. Itzy recently released their solos which they participated in writing which was their first time doing so for the Born to Be album. The only group I know that are the main writers and producers of all their own songs are Stray Kids and (G)-Idle (Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi), but they also bring in other writers and producers to assist. Then you also got some rappers in groups who write their own raps in songs, but don't write the whole song like Moonbyul from Mamamoo.
