Alas, I'm not. I thought I had mentioned it in both Indiana Jones reactions, but weirdly, Last Crusade was the only one I'd already seen. For whatever reason, that's the only one I ever remember watching growing up, so I can't really do a first time reaction to it. It's probably my favorite of the three though. Gotta love some Sean Connery! But if there's ever a demand for it, I'm happy to do a rewatch at some point!

2024-02-19 03:34:56 +0000 UTCJacqui, you had mentioned missing the Wilhelm scream in Raiders. During the truck chase when Indy hits the brakes and the jeep rear-ends the truck, the scream comes from the soldier who flies off the back of the truck and lands on the hood of the jeep. 😁

I didn't want to say too much, since I didn't feel like it was my place to comment, but throughout the movie, I kept thinking how problematic it was. It is unfortunate that the director who would go on to do films like "Schindler's List" would be so insensitive, but as you said...anyway. I didn't know about the introduction the PG-13 rating, so thank you for sharing! Definitely a great bit of trivia, and thank you for sharing your first time watching ToD with me 😊

2023-07-02 13:19:55 +0000 UTCThis was my first time watching Temple of Doom. As far as performances go, loved Ke Huy Quan and Harrison Ford. And now coming to the movie. Confession, I am from India. lol And I had heard about the issues with this movie. But now after watching it, I didn't expect this from someone like Speilberg. Its not as much as offensive I think as it is cringe and has all the racial stereotypes he could insert in one movie. Anyway. Fun fact: India rejected Speilberg's request to shoot here after they got a look at the script. The movie was then shot in Sri Lanka. The theatrical release was banned as well. Also TIL that Temple of Doom and Gremlins (both released in the same year) are the reason why PG-13 rating was introduced. And it was Speilberg who suggested that we need one between PG and R.
