Quick Question About Drive
Added 2024-03-05 02:21:21 +0000 UTCDoes anyone here that does not have GMAIL know if you can a restricted drive folder even without having a Google account?
For example: if I have a hotmail account or a naver account, and I get invited to a folder on Drive, can I actually access it without creating a gmail account?
It's a genuine question because someone said it was possible but... whenever I try it, it asks me to create a Google account first.
I thought you could only access Drive restricted files using a GMAIL account.
Does anyone know anything about it? :')

I can only open the file if I'm using my Gmail email

Even though the other person used a Gmail account, he wasn’t able to open anything until we gave the permissions and stuff. The others like Hotmail, etc. couldn’t see anything either because it asked for a Gmail account directly. But we haven’t used it for a while and I don’t know if any changes have been made after that.

I copied the link and sent it to my iCloud email, I made sure to sign out of drive on my iPad so it wouldn’t open the link through there somehow., but I was able to view the video, again that was just a link to a video, idk if it would work the same with an entire folder
