Hello in 2025!
First off, I want to thank you all for your incredible support throughout 2024—what a journey it has been!
After a short break from most computer-related things during the holidays, I'm now back, energized, and ready to work on MindWare again.
Here's what I would like to achieve in 2025:
Finish the first chapter. By the end of the chapter, our protagonist's life will change yet again in a major way, and the road to that point will be filled with relationship content, side missions, and new content added to existing locations.
Publish more stable releases. One thing I'm really not happy about is how often I release updates that contain game-breaking bugs. To improve in this regard, I need to gradually make the game's code more robust and playtest better.
Eliminate duplicate work. A major challenge I've faced as a consequence of being able to work on MindWare only intermittently is that I've often found myself rushing to implement features, only to later discover I had already built something similar in the past. This duplicate work not only wastes time but can introduce inconsistencies in the game. Now that the core of the game has a concrete shape, I would like to work toward establishing a more organized codebase with a clearer structure. That said, content is my top priority for 2025, so this is something I'll be approaching at a leisurely pace in the background.
I genuinely hope you all have an amazing 2025, and I'll do my best to make it even better with regular MindWare updates—the first of which you can expect near the end of next week!
