True, but then the issue becomes: if it's an easy one and they CAN'T do it, that could be really, really bad. Like they said in the episode: if one of their goals had been "Book Your World Champion," and they COULDN'T? That's conceivably thousands of fans lost.

Dr. Judge, Private Eye

I think it is possible that it is the fan retention that may have caused the gap, but I am not sure. If you have a lower number of fans to retain, even if you have the same retention rate the math says that you will still get less fans. Although, again im not sure. I managed to claw my way from 4th to 1st place in a season recently, and I wasn’t sure how I managed that either aside from some well timed power cards.

Thanks

Because sometimes the commissioner’s goal is book this type of person against this type of person, or make sure this specific person is in a match. If those people would happen to be your championship match in a PLE then you wouldn’t be able to book the match because you aren’t allowed to meet the commissioner’s goal.

Kim Zulock

I'm just going to say it Dan (as usual) is 100% right, skipping a commissioner goal is not back breaking, in fact you all do it regularly when you just don't like the goal. it becomes a far more interesting power than just cutting someones time

That Welsh Guy

honestly they are more likely to skip the goal on the ppv weeks anyway so I don't think it would be needed

That Welsh Guy

Still think the "Tempest" Power Card is a great idea XD

I think I figured it out. If you actually go through the maths, the 131k fans that it said Pete gained didn't count the 14k Dan stole in it. It shows Pete having 1.305m fans there but on the totals screen at the end it says 1.291m. The confusing part is that Dan's fan gained numbers DOES include the 14k he stole from Pete. So the actual gains after the power card were 138k for Dan, 122k for Luke, and 117k for Pete.

This series only had one Gimme. The very next episode Pete went over time again, and Luke said, "I was gonna give you a gimme, but you did the same thing last week" and got a Power Card.

Thanks! Appreciate it

I think the power card compromise is: Do dans idea… but you cant do it on a PLE - much like some of the OP in game power cards

Gareth Jones

Before, although doesn’t actually make too much of a difference

I do think Dan's suggestion for the penalty card could work if it's ALSO banned from the PPV to prevent it from being too devastating. But then again, that's another rule to keep track of. I do like the idea of both of them getting 2 thirty second cards because then they both benefit equally from the 1 player's mistake.

Dr. Judge, Private Eye

I think I'm missing something, how is not doing a commissioner's goal forcing the booking or not booking of matches?

Dogggonemadd

Is it better to watch the trading episode before or after the pod?

Mark

I think it's Luke doing a little worse on lots of different things that ended up creating the gap. All those little things might be everything you pointed out.

Red Claw

The booking podcast Is a great value ad! I thought i was out, but the booking podcast pulled me back in!
