Danes un draped poses are one of the best!

Great question Alexandra, I think typically its best to stick with any asymmetry, its actually part of what we recognize about a person. Comparing the ancient Greeks and Romans, the Greeks idealized their subject (took the asymmetry out) but the Roman keep it all in, including scars. So its just two different ways of thinking about it, neither is wrong. I would say experiment with both ways.

Hi Dear Bryce, I have a question about drawing with reference.. if in the picture the model seems to have for example asymmetrical eyes, is it better to stick to the reference (even if they look kind of odd) or modify and make them aligned? Anyway thank you for this beautiful images, I will post on IG a portrait of Dane, who is amazing. If you don’t mind I will tag you and her of course! :)
