Let's celebrate J.S.Sargent this month. I shot these images of Sara C. prior to seeing the show, but I felt they had a similar vitality.
I've also included some images I took at the show "Sargent and Spain" at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. I would have taken more but it was the last weekend and it was quite crowded. Also, you can get a great catalog of the show online- I really would recommend it! I most often prefer to see the artist's sketches and doodles over the finished pieces, it says so much about what the artist was thinking.
BTW The last image is a Sargent Master copy of Velázquez's Apollo

Hi Polly and thank you for joining! I hadn’t considered FB for tagging, I all but abandoned my FB account and have just been using Insta. Do you have an instagram account? I probably should use FB, every time I go there all I see are adds.
