Video Update [How did language begin?]

Hey everyone,
Hope you had a good week and are enjoying the weekend.

After much deliberation, I just tried reuploading and reposting my most recent video as it was performing worse than my worst performing video that was posted back when I had 700,000 subscribers. ...but it was getting 30% more watch time than average. So, people on average liked the content more than my typical stuff but it was getting far less views than average. I hope this doesn't leave a sour taste in your mouth for those of you who watched it when it first came out.

I thought this was odd and was trying to figure out what the issue is. It's a lot different from my typical uploads - I think most people expect some sort of productivity/self improvement/health type content from me rather than language though I wouldn't expect that much of a drop just due to the content being different (after all, my Doublespeak video is my best performing recent video).

Some people were telling me they weren't being notified that I had uploaded so I tried tweaking the tags, the title, the thumbnail and even changed the intro a bit.

Anyhow, please bear with me on this one - I don't intend to make reposting a common thing from me. If you already watched the video, thank you. If you don't mind it would really help if you left a comment/like on the new upload.

And, for those of you who have reddit, someone has posted it on /r/mealtimevideos
If you indeed enjoyed the video and think it's worth an upvote, please leave one. It should be helpful for getting the video some early traction (which appears to be huge for the algorithm)

Thank you everyone. It's thanks to y'all I can keep focusing on research even when the algorithm gods don't smile upon me.

Also an interesting topic is how we transferred spoken language to written language. There is a stupid way which is using symbols for every "thing" (like the Chinese did) and a smart way which is by using phonetics. Sam Blumenfeld talks about this for example. If you know about this, you can learn to read MUCH faster.

Thank you Jelle! Indeed - with all the research necessary to make the videos the way they are, enthusiasm is important.

I don't mind that the video is not about productivity/self improvement/health. Your channel is called What I've Learned and so far I've really enjoyed seeing what you actually have learned. You shouldn't have to limit yourself to the aforementioned topics; do whatever you find interesting at the moment. This will probably even cause you to bring about more enthusiasm which people will definitely notice. Thanks for what you're doing, it's going great!
