Why? They may get along and flirt a bit but didn't sophie say she wasn't interested in having kids, even if sophie and arthur get together. Though it would be hilarious if arthur not wanting to hurt either girl suggested polygamy (not the mormon/islam variety) the one where they all love each other and marry each other rather than multiple woman marrying one dude but not each other.
