The text part of Tora's First Day has been fully edited! And on the art front, the first layer of sketches has been done for every illustration. I'm *this* close to the finish line! What a difference having a functioning metabolism can make.
Another fun thing that has resulted from this particularly extended process for a short story (that's actually longer than at least one of my light novels) is that thanks to the work of my editor, I now have a ZandraVandra style guide! This'll make editing & writing future works go even smoother and help ensure consistency because instead of going "how did I do this before" I can just refer to a living document.
(And speaking of future works, I'm excited to Write More this year. Hoping this wind in my sails continues!)
