People probably said it already, but while MAPPA did take over the rights for making Vinland Saga they actually re-hired basically all the WIT Studio talent who made season 1, since most of the people who work for WIT are freelancers, which is also why it looks super similar to season 1 still. So yeah, it's not REALLY made by MAPPA in reality.
