You can think of a job change quest in the same line as a dual specialization in an mmo if you understand that logic. Just gives the chance to further specialize into yet another Class or Spec. Also, The skills he is getting are being taken from the bosses and enemies he defeats. Since he got the Murderous Intent from The Older Brother he took out the Speed buff from the Snake, and the Stealth from Kang. Plus the new skills and the upgraded skills from other dungeon bosses as well as gaining more levels. And wow you seem to have intuition about as good as Jinwoo for your guess on what the next episode title means heh.
