Update: "Apology for lack of update" & "New Upload Record! :) "

Hey everyone, first and foremost I want to apologize for the lack of an update/ post for the Patreon. I really wanted the next post to be a video dump and not an update saying why I couldn't post. Now with hindsight, I'll definitely post an update throughout the month.

And unfortunately you guys have been feeling the repercussions by having a lower frequency of videos being uploaded for the main adjustment. The assembly line method of producing videos is most efficient especially with the issues I've been having. There were 16 videos uploaded total to Patreon this month (November), which is actually the most Ive ever uploaded to Patreon in a month so although the frequency of videos is slower, there was more content than ever before. So no, I'm not scamming anyone, I didn't take the money and run, and I didn't quit. This is just the most efficient way I can do things with a broken laptop, so apologies if the frequency doesn't appeal to you!

Truly not looking for sympathy or pity, just explaining my situation as to why the video frequency has been so slow on both Patreon and Youtube which is as follows:

- Assembly line method of producing videos - i.e 5 video dump: create 5 thumbnails at one time, create 5 intros at one time, create 5 outs at one time, cut up all 5 episodes at one time, export and upload 5 at one time. 5 videos done ---------- where as I used to only have one video on the timeline and do every step and make the thumbnail and upload. This takes much longer and puts more stress on the laptop per day. With the assembly line method, I made the most videos in a month than I ever have before and in my busiest work month/ travel month of the year as well.

Most creators also use the assembly method as well but are able to create more since they do it full time!

 - Finishing up school, University holding my diploma because of transferred credits from other college not counting toward diploma

- Car was totaled back in September so I've picked up another job to pay for a new used car

- Over the past couple months, my MacBook has gotten progressively worse and as of right now, it struggles to boot up, load my editing software, and run in general. I got my MacBook looked at and the internals are fried to a crisp and the guy I took it to said "I'm surprised it still runs at all". He's right, it hardly runs out. Over the past week after all nighters and countless hours of grinding these videos my external hard drive shorts from a power surge. I lost all my files and took it to the same guy and he was able to help me recover the files. I was able to salvage about 2/3 of the files. Fortunately the prepped Patreon vids were safe except for 4x27 and 4x28 which is fine because 5 out of the 7 videos are good. Starting over from scratch on those two so they'll be out within the next week.

- Ordered parts for a new PC and when all of the parts come in and it's successfully built, the effiencey and quality of the videos will be unreal. So bear with me because this p.o.s laptop is getting worse by the day and my editing software can hardly run.

Also guys please remember,  I don't do this full time and every ounce of free time I have goes to the videos. There's nothing more I want in the world than to do this full time, so believe me when I say that I'm doing the best I can with what I have. Without a working PC, I can't make videos so my laptop working 1/4 of the time has made it extremely difficult to create videos. Which has been a frustrating nightmare since I'm so passionate about these videos and the show. I love interacting with you guys and it always makes my day so having these external issues get in the way have been  a pain to deal with.

I'm about to switch over to Microsoft soon so I'm also going to be learning a new editing software so bear with me!

Once again guys, I'm SO sorry for not giving this update sooner! I just imagined posting this list of statements a week ago instead of videos and imagined everyone getting frustrated since it's been a few weeks without an upload. I just didn't want to disappoint so I'm sorry about that, the technical difficulties these past couple weeks have been insane!

Cheers to the new upload record and hopefully I'll be at a one per day pace with the new PC build. December might be slower due to seeing family I haven't seen in a few years and holiday times but I'll still be uploading (decreasing December price to 3$ and won't change it back till January so that way one full cycle goes for everyone)! The frequency will definitely pick up in the new year!

The one question, I'm curious to know is that if you guys would prefer less videos more frequent or more videos a few times per month! Thank you guys for understanding and cheers!

Comments

I lean towards less videos more frequent. That way there's still a presence of activity on YT and people won't forget your channel. Hope all goes well with your PC and car!
