2023-09-16 15:43:53 +0000 UTCI've watched this show at least a dozen times, and this man is pointing out things about the show that flew over my head every single time, like Annie's sweet tooth. Props.

2023-09-14 02:08:07 +0000 UTCAlso we've had hints of foreign, advanced technology existing back in S3P1 - when they tried to analyse what was in the syringe, it evaporated. Hange speculated that whoever had made the injections must have had technology far more advanced than their own - including the king not even having access to that kind of tech.

2023-09-13 17:02:14 +0000 UTCRemember that Erwin's dream wasn't to see what's in the basement, he cared about the basement because he thought information about the truth of their world would be inside - he wanted to check if he was right, that his father's theory was correct: How do we know that humanity isn't outside the walls? That was the main hint, rather than Grisha being a doctor with a potential antidote. What I find to be especially interesting is that both our genius blonds imagined the world outside and wanted to see if they were right, but with almost polar opposite views on what the world would be. Erwin, being a more calculative and serious person, even in childhood, wondered if humanity still lived outside the walls and it was kept secret from everyone within the walls, except the king. Armin found an old book about the outside world - a remnant of history that wasn't erased and likely existed before the walls were built. And with childlike wonder, hope and dreams, simply wanted to discover that world, no matter what it might hold or truly look like. A dream without expectations in a way. There was a third dream created through Armin: That of Eren, who saw the wonderment in Armin's eyes and realised at that moment that he wasn't free. Within that book contained no mention of humanity, creating a dream of true freedom within Eren - to be the one to witness such natural wonders, free from all walls and cages.
