2023-08-13 12:20:48 +0000 UTCI love intrigue like this. Action is great but I looooved this season. "To what end" should be this seasons unofficial name. Every single things that's happening were all just like "...okay but why?". Why the conflict with the scouts, why the ackermans here, why take eren, why reunite historia and reiss, so many why's, what's the end goal here? What's even connected As for the Ackerman name drop, Levi's response showed even he didn't know that So I think at this point in time, Mikasa and Levi don't know about each other. Neither one knows the other is an Ackerman, but they both just learned Kenny is.

Going from crazy titan fights to a more political drama is a bit jarring for most fans, however from next episode on its going to pick right back up again. Cant wait to see your reactions coming up, we are getting so close to what made attack on titan truly legendary

2023-08-11 17:24:57 +0000 UTCnot sure if you remember him but the guy erwin was talking to in jail was Nile Dawk, he is the commander of the military police. He was actually in the courtroom during erens trial in season 1 wishing for eren to be studied and then disposed of as they were still fearful of eren back then. Nile is easily the least corrupt of the military police. Ill give you a little background on him which is never explained: Nile and Erwin trained together as cadets to become scouts and both fell in love with the same woman, Marie who Erwin mentioned this episode. Nile chose the military police as he didnt want to die and leave her behind and erwin chose the scouts as he obivously has his dream to prove his father right. they were best frineds during this time but obviously over the years have had less to do with each other given their jobs. They still have high respect for each other. Keep an eye on Nile because hes a great background character who we havent seen much of yet but will see more as the series progresses
