Oh, I have not thought about that! But would aerodynamic flow coming from a round shaped cone need straightening? But I thought about that before! It would be insanely interesting to have a look at SpaceX's airflow simulations for Starship Mark 1! Especially, while it's falling! :O

I think the strakes are aerodynamic flow straighteners for the canards. When the canards are mounted they will reduce eddies and reduce drag.

That was another “Gold” episode of What about it!? Felix. I am honoured and proud to be a supporter of What about it!? and highly appreciate the acknowledgement of my question which formed the basis for the second part of the episode. It’s kind a funny or weird in a way how I came to support What about it!?, I had been watching other #spacetubers for a while and then I came across your show and I said “Who the hell is this guy”. It was an episode before you changed your background in Episode 15 and from that moment I felt some sort of connection with the show, how you went about the process and how the show was delivered. So I when back to Episode 1 and caught up with what I had missed and from there I was hooked. I have looked forward to each and every new episode since.
