Question Thread 41 & Update

Before we do another one of these, here's a mini-update on current affairs excluding clandestine stuff:

1. I don't know why people are hounding me for this shit but here's a few snippets from the interview:

Secret Link - Do NOT Share

2. There was a bit of false alarm last week. Two Patrons approached me about getting overcharged, one to the tune of $100, and the other around $30. Turned out to be a simple mistake and system bug in the other case.

But combined with my escalating disappointment in the lack of features on Patreon, it lead to some needless concerns on my part. Another guy had problems with his Visa. Nothing to do with Patreon. But all this shit coincided and made me plan for the worse, especially when I didn't get a response from my inside guy. Well, turns out PatreonCon was last weekend and I'm assuming that's why he didn't respond, etc.

TLDR; this was the thing I alluded to in the post about Reflections Part 2

3. I finished my horror list earlier in case you missed it.

4. I'm not going to Baltimore this Thanksgiving and that's mainly of some scheduling conflicts and the fact that I don't have time before Christmas. Not if what I want to do is gonna get done. Those wondering what I was going to do there are gonna have to settle for 'science' and 'Johns Hopkins' as hints for now.

5. Random Thoughts Part 3 is on schedule for Friday-Sunday.

6. The team needs a video editor. Get in touch if you're interested.

7. When I'm writing longer and more involved articles like those just released and the one to come, I'm not checking in, period. It takes so much out of me and interrupted is the last thing I want to be when I'm in that state. So that's that, just because it needs to be said and I don't want to shatter any expectations.

8. If a question that was directed towards me got unanswered, you can post it again but it's better if you just email me the question when/if that happens.

Ok then - on with the show.

Rules:

1. Don't reply to my reply with another question. Patreon makes it impossible to navigate and find it once the thread becomes long enough. The email notification doesn't take me to your reply, it just takes me to this thread. Instead, write a new comment/question.

2. Each Patron gets one post per question thread answered. It's not sustainable otherwise. New question threads are made every few days.

3. Use shift+enter to make a break. On a cell phone, hit Return twice to do the same. Don't post an unreadable mess.

4. Teddy Fox is my right hand man here. What he says, I say. Zach Moore and Patrick Tucker are qualified personal trainers that chip in from time to time. Alexander Jonathan Leahy is also good and knows a thing or two about powerlifting.

5. Don't ask how much you're supposed to eat on training and rest days respectively. We're not here to do math for you. (BW in kg) x 30 is a good starting point for maintenance.

6. Before asking, please make sure you read Patrick Tucker's LG FAQ. Updated every Friday (weekend in this week's case).

7. Check out Elliott Myers's Google Sheets Log for the RPT diet routine AND Patreon RPT Routine.

8. Check out Zach Moore's LG Patreon Table of Contents

9. Don't ask for "thoughts." Be specific. I have lots of thoughts on countless subjects, but no time to share them all. It's your responsibility to specify which one you're after.

10. One question per thread. Alternatively, a few questions if they're related to the former. Don't ask 5 questions about 5 different topics.

11. How NOT to ask questions:  "I'm hungry. Should I eat or starve?"  Instead:

"I'm hungry. Should I eat?"

Many questions are simple enough to answer with a 'yes' or 'no.' Don't make it hard for us by asking questions to which such answers could be interpreted both ways. In this case, 'yes, eat' or 'yes, starve.'
