Getting back to inking after a long break was refreshing. I'd like to do it more often. I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of my default brushes and tools in CSP for it though!
The colours in this picture were also very fun. Jungles are full of saturated green, and art teachers often say green can present a big problem if it's used abundantly. That is why I tried introducing different hues and levels of saturation in the greens, as well as a lot of complementary purple accents. While the character's ref sheet leans more toward red in the flesh and feathers, I chose to leave it more magenta to not have it poke outside the colour scheme. The pose was surprisingly tough to figure out and took several hours of sketching, but as per usual with me I ended up returning to my first ideas.
