Since when have I been working in this inky-dinky style of mine without changing it up at all when it came to the inks? Always the lasso and mapping pen. This time I was so eager for an sfw piece where mood and composition are free that I went ahead and sketched this one out, inked it and finished the inks 90% of the way before Vero even got to *see* my idea, because it was all in one afternoon. And to celebrate this, I went and attempted to introduce texture with a different brush for the inks. I wouldn't say I'm proud of acting on instinct without consultation, but I trusted Vero and he trusted me. Just like how the viewer of this image naturally has to trust that this felkin isn't going to slip and fall into the pond he is so majestically sipping from.

Ultimately, I finished this picture in the afternoon of day two -- at which point I developed too much pain to work, again. I've ceased all work for about 4 days now, and I'm starting to get antsy, but therapy and exercise need to take priority right now. Whatever, I'll do my best to get back on track and continue to perform as soon as humanly possible.
