I don‘t have much confidence in my abilities to design or utilize science fiction spaces and user interfaces. It‘s something I literally never thought about in art, before I did that one Telegram chat window in that commission for Kasik. But recently, I have been facing an increasing number of requests to produce suchly themed artwork, and I recognize that I might even need to learn a little graphic design now. It‘s not like the willingness wasn‘t there before. Sometimes it just takes some concrete motivation and experience for things to click.
In this piece it was the zany little widget controlling the Omni-Ring, shown in the bottom right screen, that gave me almost 4h of solid work before I felt even remotely ok with it. Can‘t accept that. Let‘s see how long such things will take in the future!
