Hi guys! Thanks for the reaction, loved it as always! The intro does change for the next seasons, so three or four episodes from now you will get a new one. Murata was the other guy from the forest, the one that Inosuke punched in the face and also that Shinobu (butterfly lady) saved from the sister spider demon. So, this episode is important to show you that Demon Slayers need to keep training and training. The initial training that Tanjiro got helped him so far, but to move forward and be able to defeat powerful demons, like the 12 Kizuki, he needs to get better. Another thing it shows is that the techniques they use as demon slayers, the total concentration and all that, it requires quite a lot of physical and lung capacity as well. As such, the more they evolve on the techniques, the more they need to evolve their bodies. And you will understand further down the story how much Tanjiro can still improve. In this season, with the Hinokami Kagura, we though he was super powerful, almost like a Hashira, but he is very far from it. As for Shinobu’s character and that anger, I think the difference between her, and a lot of the other Hashira is that she still tries to kind of understand and feel empathy for the demons. She only does it because of her sister, and you will understand how the death of her sister changed her, but she still tries. However, she can’t actually feel that empathy, the smiles are fake. And because she continues to keep that façade for the sake of her sister beliefs, she gets tired and angrier. I think that is one of the main things about Shinobu, she really tries hard in everything, in order to keep on “the memory” of her sister in the fight against demons. She even became a Hashira without being able to decapitate demons. She trained, she developed an alternative, she developed her speed and other characteristics in order to surpass the lack of physical strength. I think that is quite remarkable. And yes, she does not have a unique backstory in this anime, but her “simple and common” backstory still made her the amazing character that she is. As for backstory itself, you will get different and better ones, do not worry. Regarding Tanjiro, not once did he spare a demon that is killing humans, not once! He does feel compassion for them after killing, but always strikes. He thinks of them not as monsters but tragic creatures who were forced to become like that. However, if they are attacking humans, they have to die, and he does not hesitate to kill them. Yes, he did give the mother spider demon a more peaceful and painless death, but still killed her. Only two more episodes to go for this season. The finale is a very good one as well, in my opinion, I think you will like it a lot. Thanks again and see you in the next one.
