Not everything can be replaceable, and i feel incredibly bad. The sky was blood red for days, the smell was horrific, Our cars were covered in ash. Debris everywhere due to the winds. I think itâs very funny the way people who are not from Los Angeles , hell people who are not even from California are giving their think pieces and âhot takesâ on a situation that they donât and never will understand. Hearing things like âno one cares that rich people lost their homesâ is not the gag they think it is. It was not just rich people that lost their homes by the way. Working class families also lost their homes. Small business owners lost their homes. There are now hundreds of displaced black families because of the devastation . Iâm so tired of people who arenât from here thinking Los Angeles is some La La Land Hollywood town and thatâs it. California is the most populated state in this country. There is more to California outside of Los Angeles. Also, weâre in this eat the rich era right now so its not surprising ppl are on there virtue signaling bullshit. By the way, I think a lot of people donât understand how the entertainment industry works and itâs very telling. They think that every actor is getting paid $50-$60 million per picture. In what world??? Most actors, yes even the very famous ones are working actors. They are freelancers and if they donât get work, they are on their way to being on the street. Not all of them are as as wealthy as you think they are. And for the ones that are more well off, they still do not deserve it. No matter the profession, people who have nice homes, especially people who worked really hard for years to get to where they got to, and are now enjoying the fruits of their labor, donât deserve to lose their homes either. Anyone that works hard all their life , no matter the socioeconomic status they have, doesnt deserve to have their house burnt down Los Angeles is full of many working people from doctors to lawyers, engineers, waitresses, regular office desk folks , and more. Iâm really starting to see that people are blurring the lines when it comes to what true wealth is. A doctor is two paychecks away from poverty if he loses his job today. Most people , cant just up and buy a new home. So to see the lack of sympathy from people is outstanding but not surprising. And the other half making this fire a political thing, particularly the red states making it political, is even sillier , considering these same red states leach off of California at the end of every single year , because these red states have no money. We have the fifth strongest economy in the world and we are the most populated state in the country yet our state lives rent free and these racist/Maga heads minds. My momâs childhood/family home was set on fire when she was a teen and they lost everything! Iâve never seen pictures of my mom and grandma when they were younger bc everything was lost. Family members died and some physically injured for life trying to escape the fire.

A few years ago, a fire broke out in the brush behind my house (lightning strike), and the way it traveled so quickly was scary and surreal to witness. Thank goodness firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before causing any damage to the homes in my neighborhood. 2. The other day the winds were so strong, that when I went to reinforce my front door, all I could think about was what an unbelievable nightmare it would be if those winds were accompanied by a rush of scorching flames, like in CA. Maybe itâs because I live on an island that experiences hurricanes every year, and witnessing Mother Natureâs wrath firsthand makes me empathetic to the people who experience disasters, but I 100% agree with Kenya, regarding the lack of empathy. You really have to be very miserable and unfulfilled to think that someone with popularity or more money than you deserves to lose their home in a disaster. As grumpy as I can be on the daily, I always try to recognise my privileges. You never know if today will be the last day you are able-bodied, have a roof over your head, or food to eat.
