It is absolutely not filler. There are no fillers in Atla. Certainly not this episode as it furthers main characters and their developments as well as villains.

2022-03-08 04:56:39 +0000 UTCThis is absolutely my favorite “filler” episode in the whole show. It has so many iconic lines, but my personal favorite is definitely: “That’s a sharp outfit Chan. Careful, you could puncture the hull of an empire-class Fire Nation battleship, leaving thousands to drown at sea. Because… it’s so sharp.”
