The whole scene was him pointing out Elena's hypocrisy in the entire mess, he never said he wasn't to blame and he's already admitted fault, he's just telling Elena how it is. She acts holier than thou most of the time, but she can be manipulative, using people to get what she wants, like Katherine. It would be hypocritical if Damon acted like he did nothing wrong, but he knows he did something wrong, and anybody who's actually watched the show knows that nobody is harder on Damon than Damon is.

That last bit about Katherine and Elena was 1, not true and two beyond childish to say to someone he hurt first. That man is the definition of a hypocrite. Sure, he can tell people about them selfs but can NEVER take it when he gets it back tho.
