The only good thing about the original was Tim Curry. All of Stephen King’s straight to cable stuff was pretty lame. I think TBS and/TNT had exclusive rights to his works or something. Im glad they are remaking many of them. Pet Sematary was perfect though. The remake was unnecessary. But it was already so great because it came out in theaters, not made for TV. Also the book of IT has the bizarre plot twist where they all have a child orgy with Bev. Super weird and no bueno.
