It is a dark kind of comedy, not satire but surreal, surreal like Walt's state of mind throughout the episode, which explains why he would forget to remove the tape from his windshield, why he would come onto the school principal, and everything else. And yeah, like it's been said already Dasha, re-watch the last scene where Walt is listening to the radio, it gets really dark right there. And yep, the "cleaner" P.I. babysitter guy is the only grown up in the room anytime he is onscreen.
