I'd love to hear what you all think!

Oooh, a Zine? Can I help? I'm a writer-editor, and I have a fair bit of graphic design, too.

Anna Glover

Another another idea: short stories from your table. It’s always interesting to hear the trials and tribulations of other tables’ epic fables

Andrew Beaudry

Another idea: a more detailed look into how you let players craft items or do long form “projects”

100%. I LOVE the balance of "zooming out" on the mindset needed and "zooming in" with a practical example. Like you say, the best way to get quality is through quantity. Give us a taste of how to get our rookie numbers to true Mystic Master proportions.

Mischa Poole

After watching the latest stream on dungeon factions I’m excited to see a video on dungeon turns

Abeaugie

I sometimes have trouble making time to get through the longer stream videos of an hour or more. I would love to see snappily edited highlight reels of those, maybe 5 to 10 minutes length containing just the strongest and most interesting moments.

Beyonder Domela

if you own it, daggerheart review

I second Nick’s first point. Extended versions or add-ons or addendums to your regular video topics would be awesome! Like the dungeon drawing one you’d follow it up with bonus “Populating the 5 Room dungeon we made” or the hex crawl ones would have more examples or details

Abeaugie

I know you like 5E but your take other systems or other editions of D&D- maybe applying some of your GM advice to these other systems?

Ross Padalecki

Weird, but maybe easy to record - a vlog style thing where you say/show what you have planned for a session, how long you prepped, etc. Then, after the session, just a debrief summary of how the session went and a lesson learned for next time. I think what'd be helpful is not you telling us literally what's happening in sessions, but a meta-summary of how you as a DM prepped, played, and will prep for next session.

SethWest

Something homebrew, or like advices to masters that want to run standard settings. Maybe fun changes

InsaneBusi

I found your Min/Max for DMs video super helpful! I think you're totally right that there aren't many optimization videos for the DM side of the screen, and I'd really love to see more of your ideas and strats~

Something I’ve been looking for and failing to find on D&D YouTube is a workshop of practical examples displaying how a GM sets up “failing forward” in a variety of common tabletop RPG situations. “Actual play” recordings sound like the logical resource, but I don’t have time to budget for studying long-form actual plays.

What's your cosmology like? Do you use the great wheel or something else? You mentioned the feywild in your "Why Dungeon Crawls are the HEART of the game", so I know that you've taken your players to other planes. Do you use the standard planes from D&D lore or do you have custom planes? How do your players get around on the planes? Yggrasil? The Infinite Staircase? Portals? Spells? All of the above?

Cosmo Van Buren

Practical examples of how you balance a combat encounter (perhaps one at each tier of play).

Voleek

Building off this, I'd like a document that showed all the videos and organized based on if the tips are related to combat, encounters, etc. and show, for example, the 8 different combat types listed with one sentence description and a timestamp link to the relevant video.

BrokenTripod

I enjoy the behind the scenes stuff. I really liked the video from 3/28 where you showed your video setup. More like that.

NerdyByNature

Take the video topics you've covered and do longer, deeper dives into the minute details. Maybe a series where DMs can submit some footage of them DMing to get tips and be used as an example of "I'd do this instead". Obviously, videos would be sent knowing what they were signing up for. More controversial topics and how to find the line without going over. And, obviously, blooper reels!

Nick Gilby

Encounter examples - no need to generate something new, maybe provide information from a session you (or someone else) has run. Provide: number of players and levels, stat blocks for enemies, flair/objective(s), sketch of map, any other context that may be helpful

BrokenTripod

It could be cool to see some thorough examples of play, practicum of concepts covered in previous videos. Or short videos where you break down the tactics of particular encounters you've designed.

Nolan Robertson

I would totally understand if you don't want to share it publicly, but I'd love to know more about your world. Both in-world history, lore, and stories, and how you've developed over the years.

Mark Norman Francis

I honestly am a proponent of all content to be free, only convenience to be paywalled. Like nice PDFs or otherwise structured data/tables for easy reference instead of parsing the videos yourself. If that makes sense 😅

Forke

Odd or niche ideas

Pierre Stormer

Maybe sharing some homebrew magic items you've used in your games, if any and if you're willing to share
