First Oil Painting
Added 2023-05-18 19:42:47 +0000 UTCThough my inexperience made the first phases difficult, and quality was sacrificed for experimentation, I'm satisfied with the results; it may be riddled with proportional and tonal flaws, but the process felt so similar to graphite, I'm confident I'll enjoy, too, eventually master, the oil medium.
...After several years, it's surreal to reflect on the seemingly countless concepts I've studied to become a proficient artists: now I'm free to apply them toward my true, creative endeavors. Soon, I'll create a few original, story-relevant illustrations to strategically identify technical deficiencies as well as improve the studio's initial impression; hopefully, each piece effectively becomes an academic study to simultaneously refine my skills alongside projects' development.
