Howdy Patrons!
If you are a scatterbrained simpleton with a penchant for daydreaming like me, you know the toll of procrastination and the struggle of meeting deadlines. It can be especially difficult keeping track of time when working on multiple projects that take several months to complete. So heres how Iβve learned to best manage my timeβ with project details blurred as Iβm under NDAs. π€«
It may be because Iβm an artist, but Iβve learned the most important thing for me is having a VISUAL representation of my schedule. Here I just downloaded a simple calendar image off google into procreate so I could edit and draw on top of it. I color coordinate each time frame to a client/project as I book them and add notes like clients name, rates, and important dates (such as internal deadlines or holidays). I block out days as they pass so I can literally see how much time I have left on a project and make sure Iβm on track.
I prefer doing this over a calendar app because I can very easily adjust things and jump back to projects since everythingβs in Procreate. Just a personal preference! There is most likely a more efficient way that proffessional artists schedule themselves, but so far this has worked for me and I hope it helps you! :)
