Chapter 24: Bloodlust!

Ava Ayala –White Tiger.


Lucas Cage –Power Man


Samuel Alexander –Nova


Danny Rand –Iron Fist.


This was Peter’s team –Spider-Man’s team.


“Gahaha! Is that all you kids got?”


But even with such a team, Peter wasn’t able to win against the monster of a man –Juggernaut.


“Just my luck…” Peter cursed his bad luck. When he thought he had only one issue to handle, another appeared.


He thought his team would be able to handle the red giant of a villain, but they weren’t.


They were injured, pretty badly.


And there wasn’t much he could do for them either.


“Why is that so big?” Power Man yelled, “It wasn’t this big!”


Now they didn't have just one giant to fight, they also had a behemoth to face.


“You think you can–” 


Or maybe not two.


“Ahhh! Put me down!” Juggernaut yelled, trying to punch the giant android –but his fists didn't even reach the monster of a robot.


“What the…” White Tiger gasped, seeing the sight unfolding before her.


“Ahhhhhhh!”


“Did it just…” Nova shuddered.


“It ate the Juggernaut…” Spider-Man was horrified. He clearly understood now how dangerous the android was. ‘It ate the guy that we could barely keep up with.’


“Wait!” Iron Fist said, pointing towards that back of the android, “It’s…”


“Ugh!”


They heard the Juggernaut groan.


He was shat out of the android’s ass –his bright red armor gone, leaving only his naked body.


The villain fell on the ground, face first and clearly weakened from the lack of his helmet.


“What just happened?” Nova asked, confused by the scene.


But to answer their question, someone else appeared.


“The more he eats, the bigger he gets.” It was a deep voice, “And the stronger he becomes.”


Their eyes shifted to the new man, the one that stood as tall as Juggernaut.


“Who are you?” White Tiger asked, vigilant at the possibility of the man being an enemy.


“He is a friend.” Spider-Man assured, recalling that he saved Gwen.


“Look out.” He reminded as the android swung at the flying Nova.


The hero barely dodged, before focusing on the issue at hand.


“My name is Hercules.” He said, “And as Spider-Man said, I am here to help.”


They didn't have the time to investigate the man, if anything, they were glad that they had an extra pair of hands for help.


“You guys figure out a way to switch him off.” Hercules said, “Till will hold him.”


He didn't give a time limit.


He didn't need a time limit.


He knew that he could hold the android as long as his timer didn't go off.


And he still had almost two hours at hand.


“We might find something from the experiments!” White Tiger yelled, “Something might be useful!”


This gave them an idea. 


They had a lot of things that could be used against the android.


And for that, half of the crew left.


“You can go too, Spider-Man.” Hercules assured, but the hero wanted to stay. 


“They are enough to fetch the items and also help the civilians.” He said, “I’ll stay with you. Even though I don’t know who you are.”


Spider-Man dodged a punch from the android as he spoke.


“Let me.” Hercules said as he slowly moved towards the android.


The android looked at him curious, as to why he was so calm.


But Hercules didn’t care.


He stood in front of it with his fists clenched.


Andy threw a punch, certain that he would crush the man in front of him.


But did that happen?


No.


“What?” Spider-Man was astonished.


Why?


Because forget about being crushed, Andy couldn’t even make the man move an inch.


The punch that was supposed to crush him was caught with the lowest of efforts.


“I had been downplaying the power of the essence for far too long.” The man said, but Peter didn't understand anything –neither did the android.


But one thing that both of them could agree on was that his man was strong –dangerously strong.


This however made Andy pissed. He didn't like that his attack was stopped so easily. He hated the lack of interest the man was showing him.


And this led to him throwing a barrage of punches, each of which was either ignored or caught with ease.


Peter was baffled, ‘If he is this strong, how did he even end up inside the rubble?’


He didn't know that in a way, the man was scared of using his full power. And neither did he know the full potential that he possessed.


Even now, he only had a fraction of an idea what he could do.


“This thing should have remained in a lab.” Hercules said, frowning at the child-brained android.


Peter felt attacked, but he knew that the man was right.


He should have never brought that thing to the exhibition.


“And this is enough.” Hercules was tired as he stopped the punch for god knows how many times.


As the next punch flew towards him, he didn't dodge or defend against it.


He went on the offensive.


Clenching his fists to the point that his veins were visible and pulling it back with as much strength as he could gather in that instant –he released a punch the same moment as the android.


And with that–


*BOOM!*


The entire arm of the android shattered, exploding into semi-solid pieces that landed everywhere.


Peter gawked at the scene, equally horrified and equally amazed at the sight.


‘How…’ He was shook, ‘How is he so strong?’


That punch was insanely strong. Even Danny, who had the fist of iron could not punch with such strength. 


However, this man that he had never seen before today shattered the entire arm of the android with just one punch.


“This is annoying,” Hercules muttered and Peter’s eyes landed on the android whose arm that started to regrow.


“What if it has a type of battery?” Peter yelled, drawing Hercules’ attention.


“Explain.” The Olympian said.


“Androids need power to operate and there is no way that it can restore itself forever.” Spider-Man explained, “It will end with no power one way or the other.”


This made sense to Hercules, “And since it should also consume a significant amount of power to restore itself, it will stop once that power runs out.”


Neither of them knew what this exact power was. But since it grew bigger the more it ate, they believed that it was the things it ate.


“We have to stop it from feeding itself.” Spider-Man deduced and Hercules agreed.


“If I keep damaging it, can you stop it from reaching for things to eat?” The Olympian hero asked, and Spider-Man believed that he could.


“I can.” He assured, “Just make sure that he keeps taking damage.”


They saw that the android grew a tiny bit smaller the moment it had to regrow its lost limb.


And that was enough for them to work on that strategy.


“I will let loose a bit.” Hercules grinned as he saw the android trying to swing back at him.


And instead of replying with a punch like before –he decided to reply another way.


He grabbed the arm and pulled on it.


The immense pulling strength that he exerted made the android roar out in pain. While the pull caused the arm to be ripped out of its socket.


As they expected, the android healed itself. But during that process, it also grew smaller.


It tried to reach out for a postbox that was at the corner to eat –but Spider-Man stopped it.


“Nuh-uh, buddy!” The hero swung at the android, gripping its arm with his web and pushing it to the side.


“Just like that!”


Hercules jumped, gripped both his hands in a lock and came crashing down on the android.


The android couldn’t dodge –the hit landed directly onto him and the immense force shattered it into pieces –Only for it to regrow all it’s limbs back.


However, it was ridiculously smaller than before.


Now, it was barely a little bigger than Juggernaut. 


And as he kept fighting, Hercules felt a sense of excitement. It felt great to exert his powers.


But the reduction in size gave the android a boost in speed and it bolted towards broken shards of glass –trying to munch on them.


“Shit!” Spider-Man’s web shooters were low on battery. The continues fights he had been facing and especially the fight with Juggernaut had nearly emptied his shooting canisters.


But there was someone else to the rescue.


“Not so fast, weirdo!”


The shards were immediately enclosed inside of a strong sphere made purely of kinetic energy.


“Invisible Woman!” Spider-Man yelled, and the hero nodded.


“I don't know what you two did, but it is working.” She acknowledged, “It is much smaller now!”


“Everyone!” They heard the familiar voice of White Tiger, “S.H.I.E.L.D has informed us that it can be frozen, cold is its weakness!”


‘S.H.I.E.L.D again.’ Hercules mused, while enjoying the thrill of the battle that he felt.


“But we have to make it as smaller as we can before that!” Nova yelled, making Hercules understand what he had to do.


“Clear out.” The Olympian said, “And do not interfere.”


“What are you–” Power Man wanted to ask, but Spider-Man signaled not to say anything.


“Let's see how many punches you can bear, brick-face.” Hercules grinned, enjoying the thrill of exerting his power.


“Back off!” Spider-Man yelled, realizing that Hercules was going to do something wild.


“Let's see how strong you are!”


The Olympian, with his immense strength punched the ground. 


He didn’t even look at the android, he just focused on releasing a strong strike to the ground.


“What!” Power Man and Iron Fist both widened their eyes in shock, “How is he so strong?”


The ground that everyone stood on, cracked and created a massive open area, causing the android to fall inside –his lowet body stuck in the crack. 


“Now you cannot run!” He grinned, as his body itched to hit something.


“Prepare the freeze!” Spider-Man yelled, as he saw Hercules jump at the android.


And what he saw horrified him.


A massive man, enjoying his rage.


Punching like a wild beast –shattering the gray creature, not letting it recover.


The second the android recovered a little, a bigger portion of his body flew out.


“Hercules move!”


Spider-Man yelled, as the android was much smaller and manageable now.


But the Olympian was mesmerized by his own strength, by the thrill he felt. He didn't even hear the yell.


“HERCULES!” 


It took his entire strength to yell at the Olympian to make him pause.


“Huh…” Hercules looked at the android, tinier than ever. “Oh.”


“Freeze it!” Susan yelled, and Hercules nodded –jumping back a little.


‘What just happened,’ He wondered, not being able to understand why he lost his senses for a second. ‘The bloodlust that I felt for a second… that was not good.’


He gave in to his own power, enjoying more than he had the right to.


“Now!”


The carbon freezer that Ava and Sam made was used by the heroes to free the android –the tiny sized brick-man.


Even before it could react, the ice reacted and the android froze –stuck in a running stance, unable to move or break free from the ice.

Maybe this was all worth it.
