October Blog 2025

IT'S SPOOKY MONTH! Arguably my favorite time of year. It's cooler but not TOO cold, and I love all the Halloween decorations. My husband and I usually do a horror movie marathon in October (if you have any movie suggestions, let me know!), and we always find a gem or two. The 80s is probably my favorite period for horror movies (Gremlins, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, The Thing, Hellraiser, ect), mostly because I love practical effects. The college I went to had a practical effects department for the arts and I was always blown away by some of the things they made. It's such a cool art form that we don't see much of today in movies, so I love venturing back to the time when it was everywhere!

Lennon Travels------

For some pictures from my life adventures, we have this place in Vancouver called Granville Island that I try to visit once a year. It is a little area owned by the government of Canada that was once all factories, now turned into art studios and rented out for a very low cost (if you know how expensive Vancouver is, that is no small thing lol). There are tons of different art studios (pottery, painting, woodshops, metalshops, jewelry making), non-chain restaurants/coffee shops, trinket stores and several local theaters! It's one of my favorite places near the city.

The entrance is over the water and under a bridge! The day we went was a bit cloudy, but thats pretty normal for Vancouver 😂

Because Granville Island it is on the water, there is tons of seafood! We indulged in some lobster sandwiches, which were delicious. We each got a different one and split it, so I have two different halves haha.

Here is one of the metal shops on the island. This artist does metal sculptures and they are breathtaking in person (here is his instagram if you are interested in seeing more). You can also see his studio in the background, he makes everything right in the shop! Almost every artist has their shop and studio in the same place so you can watch them work.

Before I left, I bought this beautiful cup that was handmade and handpainted at a pottery studio. I love octopuses so I couldn't let this go. Here is their instagram as well! They have several artists, and their studio is also right there in the shop! Just like you guys support me here (which I am truly grateful for), I always try to support small artists when I can. This cup will be treasured 🥰

Faroff Updates------

We are almost through this montage section! Another few episodes and we will be onto the next part of the story (which I have been waiting for since the beginning of this comic LOL). I know I talk about my excitement almost every time, but we are really getting into the meat of the story now and its been favorite moments after favorite moments. But this next part...I cannot WAIT! 💖💖💖

I am working on the storyboard this weekend and will have sketches out to you next week!
