I was raised Jewish and had an Israeli father. I was always pro-Palestine. Zionism could not indoctrinate me. But I was a child with an unusual amount of innate EQ, empathy, and self awareness. still am as an adult. And that DM you received is horrible and not true. There are holocaust survivors in Europe calling what’s been happening to Palestinians a holocaust. I’d dare that person to say that to them Also on the fake body positive assholes. There were even accounts for eating disorder recovery who back pedaled and betrayed people who placed trust in them. As someone in recovery, I find the timing for a rise in desired thinness very telling and to be a control tactic. Too hungry, too weak, too tired, to sick from the GI impacts of weight loss drugs (also created a shortage for people who actually needed this medication to save their lives for type 2 diabetes) will lead to obedience. These people won’t rise up and fight for what’s right because they won’t have the energy or are too focused on their appearance. I genuinely believe they don’t have empathy. Same for Israelis. I’ve been there many times. I can list on one hand those who believed in Palestinian freedom. Look into the thin standards and diets Israel sets. It’s wild and gross. I feel bad so many are so brainwashed but you can’t deprogram someone. They have to get curious about their own beliefs and why they think certain things. It’s disappointing. I wish we could hold the mirror up and people see how they lost their way. Or have these people see they would rather uphold white supremacist beauty standards. Or target marginalized people. What makes someone so hateful? If it’s taught, they have to do the unlearning. It’s so frustrating. I just want an inclusive, empathetic, respectful, accepting, just, and kind world. I’ll never understand why that’s asking too much of humanity.

Kate and Mark are posed to look miserable and make others feel miserable (especially those who don't conform.) The other photo brought me joy and peace, and so glad we live in a world where we are more playful, fluid, fun, warm, kind and celebratory about bodies, gender and sexuality.

Sometimes I pity people who have had their minds so stunted by our culture that the only beauty they can see is a very narrow sliver of conventional attractiveness that is the nexus of all privileges; like you are surrounded by beauty, open your eyes. But then they do their best to make everyone else feel like shit too and my sympathy runs cold.

I wore a lot of crew neck T-shirts, but still always had men 30’s-50’s talking about my boobs from about 11-17! Sydney’s allowed to love and show off her body, it’s not a siren call to the right, she’s just shaped like that.

He couldn't accept that people with other body types should be allowed to be models and role models for people. He felt that because he was "forced" to look a certain way to be desirable by other white, cis, gay men, everyone else had to conform in such stereotypes too. We don't talk any more bc guess what, turns out he started saying transphobic shit too.
