Love your reactions! I've been catching up on Harry Potter and Twilight and stumbled upon this. Thank you!!!! I think you guys missed an important part during the peeta escape scene where Finnick talked about his experience. He won at 14 years old and afterwards Snow made him sell his body or Snow would kill someone he loved (that was part of the reason he was one of the capitol's favorites) so he learned to use the secrets of the people using him and dealt in those secrets. One of the ones that he learned was that president Snow's weapon of choice is poison. However, when he kills someone with poison he consumes the poison too and takes an anecdote and after so many years of doing this he is chronically ill from it. Crazy to think of how ugly the capitol is for what they did to their tributes. In catching fire when Johanna said there was no one left in her life she loved, that was because she refused to be sold like finnick and in turn snow killed her family. Just some back story the movie does not do the best job of capturing.
