One thing I've noticed about El, which I was reminded of when you commented on how she leveled up, is that she's at her strongest when she's protecting people. Kali told her strength came from hate and it was proven wrong when El drew on her memories of the love in her life to close the gate in S2. But it's almost effortless for her to use her abilities when she's protecting someone. You saw it in S1, with Mike at the quarry and the end with killing the demogorgan. S2 when she took all of those demodogs out in a matter of maybe a minute, and closing the gate. We see in in this season not only at the hospital but during the Sauna Test. She really got that stat boost when she protected Mike from Billy. Love the reactions, as always.
