I actually met my partner (another artist) on deviantart! I commissioned them for a pfp and we were friends for years before anything happened :) Another friend I met recently just happened to live in the same area so we met IRL! Years ago I made an open discord and made many artist friends there! I eventually had a group of people who became very close, but now we’ve slowly grown apart. Rarely, but still, the group chat revives and we all catch up :) Unfortunately I dont really befriend other artists now, or many people, I find it very difficult to maintain convos/feel any genuine connection to alot of people so I dont make friends easily. Most artists are shy and introverted so its hard to reach out- but joining an artists discord is definitely a good way to make friends! And thank you so much for the kind words, made my day :,)

Has it just been out of luck and people approaching you through your art or have you had to approach others. Also take your time! Take care of yourself first. From my own experiences, just remember it gets better and to never forget the amazing people and things in your life even when it’s surrounded by pain. You’re doing great
