Lady Gemma, your investor assistant...

I wanted to finish the gameplay this week, but I got stuck in something. I was writing the intro, and adding kind of a tutorial. Then I realized about something: Many of you will probably won't take it so seriously and skip it quickly as you might be eager to get over someone's knees ASAP. I know this is a common gamer's way, and I've done it many times, LOL. Then I thought of a better solution. And that solution would be Lady Gemma's magic hologram doing the tutorial. Perhaps "impatient" gamers would be more eager to listen to her carefully...

Will you get a good sound OTKs from her with a creamy accident? That's for granted!

This is an image that represents the details that take much time, but are necessary. Making the background in photoshop, a logo and add a spanking detail sometimes might take hours. And what took several days was programming and writing the news. There will be around 60-70 bulletins from FirmHand Press that will predict the stock market movements. In this case, the message is straight clear: Don't invest in Spankyvision (creator of World of Spankraft), as it would stop you from progress in the game... unless you want to take your time and get a very, very hard spanking from Fionna...

Along with the tutorial, I finished the intro. Setting the dark-oppressive mood of the game took me a couple of days, but it's ready. And as I finished it, I realized that the game wouldn't be complete without a full spanking scene from the most important investors (Wlifreda, Penelope & Harley for sure, perhaps Hannah and Ms. Appleby too). The rest will have quick cameos, which will be small spanking scenes like the Melvins from Spankgika.

It's likely I'll show some of these scenes on next update. Depends when I get tired of writing and programming :)

p.s. For the English patrons and football fans, I'm 100% with you. GO ENGLAND!!!!

After sleeping on this, i will deliver a final post on this subject and then will be silent in the future. I am not here to dictate how someone develops and runs their game. I will share an idea here or there, but that is the extent of it. I don't want a poll made because the conceptual framework of the game is good the way that it is. My complaint about the dice rolls simply comes from the fact that I understand probability. I know some of you think that I am the village idiot, but that is simply untrue. When you need to roll higher than a 5, one should do better than 50%. That is simple probability math! When that doesn't happen on a consistent basis, it is easy to figure out that the developer has done a little playing around. What has been stated in the past is that your game decisions dictate how well the dice rolls treat you. I call foul on that because I see no difference whatsoever. In any case, enough with the dice rolls because I am certain that my argument is falling on deaf ears. Regarding Spankgika...I've done everything that the developer said to do in regards to the library and figuring out the clues to get the cards. It made relatively little difference to the outcome. I don't need Spankgika for Idiots to figure that out. Lastly, I shared my opinions in a respectful manner. In that regard, I didn't expect to be called an idiot, and then receive a lecture for being upset about it. I have been a member of OTK Productions for 2 years now, and overall I enjoy it immensely. However, if this is how things are going to be going forward, then I need to take my business elsewhere.

I simply shared my opinions, and I did so respectfully without personally attacking anyone. Now I have become the village idiot for doing so, and get lectured to boot. Spankgika for Idiots? Save your strength.

I believe this conversation is getting out of context. I want to explain something to stop this beliefs that I might consider myself with a high IQ, an amazing player, and could think anyone who gets trouble beating my games could be not smart. My reason for making hard games, is because I enjoy challenges and don't care about frustration and losing. The game I've played the most when I was a hardcore gamer was world of warcraft, and the activity I enjoyed the most was PvP battles, that could go from 2vs2 to 40vs40. I was the kind of player that stood in the back because I always lost all 1vs1 fight. My odds for wining were like rolling 12, two times in a row. Why? First, I've never been a skilled gamer. I remember when I was young, and played playstation, or nintendo, I was not a good one. Second, I didn't play 8 hours a day to get the legendary items that increased stats by 300%. Third, I got nervous because of adrenaline, and many times pressed the wrong button, LOL. However, I was there next time, wanting to play again. Why? Because I was having a good time enjoying the view, the scenario, the excitement, the music, my beloved night elf female druid I played with etc... and that was enough for me to get out of the real, sometimes depressive life. In my fight in FF8 that I said before, I needed several hours to beat the final boss. I love gaming not for wining, but for playing. And I prefer playing something for 1 month, and having to lose a lot of times, than playing an easy game that would require only 2 hours of playing, or something like the games in the adult genre that you need to get a walkthrough and just follow the steps. I believe the only difference is that we might see things different, and enjoy things different, and that's ok because we are different people. I can change a bit, but not too much, because making easy games, would go against my nature of "gamer who wants to play a lot and don't care losing 50 times". I have the impression you're fed up by dice. I can make a poll about it, where you would have good chances of wining, with your sith voting power x7. If you have something to say, to complain, just say it directly (preferably by DM), but please, don't make assumptions about what I may think about anything without talking to me first. Thanks.

Song pretty much sums it up for me I guess? I'm an idiot who spends $80/month to get called an idiot. What am I doing here?

You might also want to consider a standalone Spankgika trainer for idiots who have never played an RPG card game before.

darthbrat

I get that, but games are supposed to be fun too. The die rolls success is less than 50% on a consistent basis, and more like 33%. I cringe when I see the dice because I know that it is pretty much an automatic loss. It could say that all I needed was to roll a 1-12 and somehow 13 would show up.

Jason Voorhees

Sometimes it just needs to be recognized that not everybody can be a world-class game athlete with a genius level IQ and the reflexes of a fighter pilot who routinely wins 98% of their die rolls. Some of us are just beat-up old losers looking to have fun playing a game and forget the suck ass world for a few hours.

darthbrat

There is no 'radical left!' There never was one! That is just the REAL FUCKING NAZIS lying, and projecting their real crimes and real perversions and real treasons on to their victims and being parroted by bought off corrupt media and believed by the naive in love with being evil and too willfully ignorant to care that the freedom they shit away will never return to them in their lifetimes and we will all die as slaves! Stop believing the lies!

darthbrat

About the video game ban at Spankytown, I imagined the radical left cancelling a game because it had an "over sexualized" female protagonist (who in fact was just as gorgeous as my platonic love Natalie Portman). Just for you to understand my acid political jokes, I define myself as a full hater. I follow very close what happens in your homeland, because this affects Mexico hard, and even harder than what our politicians do. A common saying here is: "Cada vez que Estados Unidos estornuda, a Mexico le da pulmonia" (Every time America sneezes, Mexico gets neumonia). For example, every time the Federal Reserve says something, Mexican peso and stock market gets severely affected for good or bad. That's what I'm also worried about Saturday. Now please, don't take me seriously if you don't agree in what I'm about to say, as I sometimes don't agree with myself, and change my beliefs. This what I've always thought about what's going on. I believe USA's election (and almost every election in every corner of the world) is very similar to the ones we had here in Mexico last month, and can be defined by the "Alien vs Predator" film slogan: "Any who wins, we all lose." Now, putting away all irony and speaking seriously, I hope people chill out from both sides, so that things don't get wild. Peaceful and civilized discussion between the opposites (especially the radical ones) is the only way to stop dangerous polarization, that could turn into tragedy. I only wish this tragedy never happens.

HecMX

You're not the only one, brother!

darthbrat

I agree totally with Spankgika. That's why Spankgika will be redefined completely. The big problem is that it's based on just luck. Now that player's decisions will be included, it will a complete game changer, because it will be 50% strategy, 50% luck. I will do it with giving the cards a lot of skills, and many obtained in the library. For example, when Princess Aerdrie appears, you can choose if get 2 Melvins, empower the acolytes (2x2) to become slayers (4x1). Then you can get at the library a new skill that makes acolytes guaridans (5x5), another for 3 Melvins, and another that give Holy Strike where her hitting power is doubled, very useful in case you face BIzarrespanker. And imagine the ultimate power: gain initiative without spinning triangle. And so on, every magical card will have different abilities that will make the game far more entertaining and challenging. However, some kicks on the nuts + frustration will still be part. I believe I made those kicks on the nuts better with Bratwatch, where the frustration of drowning (losing 2000 pesos and the guranteed items for Harley and then having to gather them again), was worth it and forgotten when she became Lady Barbie at Lapsaria. I want to make more of that, and better every time.

HecMX

Sounds like you may be getting your modern world ideas from the country just north of yours, OTK Productions. I really fear for our future up here.

Ken L. Black

Did you say Lady Gemma?!? In that totally hot outfit?!? With "good sound OTKs from her with a creamy accident"?!? Oh, lordy...take my money! I'm in!! Thanks for all of you work with this game. It sounds like you're REALLY pounding away at the computer for this one! Much appreciated.

Ken L. Black

Yeah, you and I tend to agree about Spankgika, Jason! It definitely sounds like OTKProductions is working on improving the experience greatly next time around.

Ken L. Black

Excellent points! My concern is that MANY different aspects of the game are like fighting against that final boss. The Spankgika game being the biggest one. You can do everything correctly and get every possible card from the library and still lose badly and consistently. While that is going on, the lack of training at the gym is also costly. I think that the big Debbie-downer overall is when you do everything you possibly can do correctly, but still fail big time. Instead of getting a nice OTK spanking as a consolation prize, it is a giant kick to the nuts instead. That hurts!

Jason Voorhees

Is there a FirmHand company? If there is, then I'm doing them some free promo, LOL. Seriously speaking, I think nobody would know, or won't care too much. And there are some adult games that are flagrantly using brands just like that, and earn far more money than me.

HecMX

I don't know if it would be easier. The advantage is that you won't go back after an achievement (like in Bratwatch where you lost 2000 pesos and 3 guranteed items after drowning or losing love points to Violet). However, it will probably have more challenges than Bratwatch. Let me explain why, and where I'm leading. For me, the greatest thing about good, hard, challenging games, is that when you finish a good hard game, the satisfaction and enjoyment skyrockets to the moon. Easy ones for me are totally meh. I remembered I played Final Fantasy 8 (sci fi fantasy RPG in Playstation 1), where the final boss was IMPOSSIBLE and the only way was going back to the last land before the boss and empower all my chars (6) to maximum power. This took me a couple of days fighting regular minions grinding power points. Even like that, the final boss was too hard, and required an heroic fight where the minimum mistake was defeat. When I finally beat it, it was EXTASIS, followed by a wonderful, emotional, final scene, that gave me absolute joy, and then brought a lot of nostalgia because my adventure was over. Then I got FF10 the next year, very excited of living a new adventure full of challenges. The story was great and the graphics better. But the final boss was too easy, almost like an ordinary minion, and it felt empty. Then it was the beautiful final scene to close the story (final fantasy games have amazing stories) but this time, I wasn't excited. I forgot about FF10 in the next week, and I still remember FF8 after 24 years! I have more of these experiences in World of Warcraft, Resident Evil and even Pro International Soccer (Fifa's competitor). If I could get you feel 5% of that winning emotion from one of my games, like the ones I felt when I was a gamer, I would be completely satisfied. It's a very difficult task, and hope I can achieve it someday.

HecMX

I hope this game is a little easier than The Brave Knight.

Jason Voorhees

Looks great. Do you think you'd have any issues using "FirmHand?" They might not care, but the names are close to each other.

Aaron

Just thought it would be funny.

darthbrat

The news will reflect the modern world, sometimes from the perspective of a "hater" (me). And this mini Gemma is an hologram... the real one will arrive when it's needed, in her psycho executive outfit.

HecMX

Can't wait to see Mini Hermione go full psycho on his bare ass with a popsicle stick, while Kayleigh watches and starts to get ideas! That would motivate me to pay attention to the boring crap! Not sure about this 'banning video games' rumor, though. The nazis don't need any more crappy ideas!

darthbrat

I'm really looking forward to this game
