Chapter Debrief | Session 𝓞ne-Hundred-Two

Hi Lusties. I hope everyone's week is off to a good start:) Let's debrief Session 102 together.

Monroe's breakdown was definitely expected, especially after Leon threatened Liberty. It wasn't that surprising that he immediately threatened Libs, especially knowing Monroe's obsession with her (as he said).

Are we still recovering from the bathroom scene?

I know a lot of you all are probably yelling at Monroe right now.

Or you're sympathizing, given she was in the midst of a breakdown when the L-bomb was dropped.

Monroe wasn't playing about our girl Liberty, though. She came back with full force at Leon.

Clarisse was legit mute after the knife incident too😭

Still, Leon didn't give Monroe the chance to really threaten him and win. Even if Monroe killed Clarisse or him, she'll still face the consequences, so it's not that easy.

How do we feel about the car scene, and Monroe's self-sabotaging? Did you think she was about to break up with Liberty? I really felt bad for Libs, especially after how supportive she's trying to be.

It's also hard at the same time because we can also see Monroe's point of view. She's overwhelmed by the threats and her parents, so she's pushing Liberty away in an attempt to protect her, but at the same time, she can't even leave her alone. Ro said she wouldn't survive after letting her go.

Also, Maris came through for Kaia, but Monroe definitely wasn't happy that Liberty involved her mother to begin with.

Another Note: I wanted to acknowledge the comments about the chapters being shorter. These recent chapters are still close to 4000 words, but they are shortened since Consumed is being converted to a physical book, and there are only so many words I can keep (otherwise the book will be too big)

I've already cut Consumed's physical copy into two books as it is since there's too many words for one book itself. I also want to keep the original story intact since every detail matters here, so there won't be any rewrites for the physical copy. I really hope this makes sense, Lusties.
