Sorry for the wait for anything new from me for the last few months. I needed a little bit of time to myself to reset and refresh a wee bit. I didn't know it would be as long is it has been, but here we are.
This YouTube thing kinda wears you down mentally over time and I could just feel it gradually chipping away at me over the span of months, so I had to switch my brain off to it all for a while to recharge and get my shit together.
I don't normally talk about myself in my videos or anything too personal as I don't think it's the focus of what I do on my channel. I've always had the view that the videos aren't about me. Usually it's just my shared enjoyment of the games with you all that takes the focus (and I still think that's the way it should be), so I've never really been comfortable talking openly about myself and my personal life, but obviously after such a long absence I couldn't just come back and act like nothing happened, so that's why this video exists.
My first main channel video back won't focus on this much but for anyone who wants to know, this post/video exists for them.
I thought I should address you guys first and then I'll link this out to everyone else if they're at all interested in where I've been and why.
Also I needed the practice in video-making before doing something for the main channel again, I wasn't sure if I'd be rusty at it but it's like riding a bike. I thought doing MGSV made for a fun wee video.
Anyway, now that I've pulled myself back up from the floor I feel like I'm ready to get back into it beginning today with a video for you guys to sink your teeth into on a game that I''ve been back into during my absence and been loving again.
I'm working on my first Hitman video back for the main channel (that'll be out in the next couple of days).
Anyway, this video is a one-time thing (unless people enjoy it enough to want another one from me on here) and I'll be back on this again very soon with what I want to make going forward on my Patreon and also the main channel.

The bad news is we are coming up in the 1 year anniversary of this video with no updates so I think the probability that he’s retired from YT is quite high. We’ve stuck it out and continued to contribute to the Patreon because he’s a legend, we care about him, and you can consider it back pay for all the times YT demonetized a video. But if you’re at the point where you no longer want to contribute financially, I think you have the right to stop for now. I’ve been giving at the $6/month level and there are other things I want to support with that money. If he comes back though, I’ll be back

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is due in March, try playing the first game...it's got some great moments and it's ripe for pissing about in. Remember, there’s a reason we here on patreon elect to give you our money, it’s because you make excellent videos; and whilst I can’t speak for everyone, I’ll take quality over quantity any day of the week, even if that day is three months away. That being said, don’t make a habit of it, we were worried. The silence was deafening. As to ideas for games to play my suggestion would be Kingdom Come: Deliverance, it’s a first person rpg set in medieval Bohemia, it’s something of an acquired taste, but once you have gotten a taste for it nothing else quite scratches that itch. I returned to it after an initial false start and got hooked. I think it would work well for one of your long form series (Medieval Macgraw maybe?). Also, it has a sequel planned for release this year so it could be good for the whole chasing the YouTube algorithm.

I mean, we could go to a thousand different channels to watch someone play Hitman, or LA Noir, or any other game. Most of them say little to nothing. It's how you play, making a mostly serious game into a hilarious comedy, and your commentary while you do it. Nobody has the same style of gameplay, commentary and editing as you do. You're the main focus. You're what makes your videos fun and hilarious, not the games.

I have had severe anxiety my whole life and have had to work very hard to learn coping mechanisms and how to deal with it. (Your videos have been so helpful for me over the years when I am having a down moment)I understand how how hard it can all be and how draining it is. I am feeling stuck in my life now too and my job is so stressful I have been trying to reduce my hours so I can get the energy to work in my spare time towards a new career. Other people's life issue of course have gotten in the way and so it's not going as smoothly as I would like. But just hearing from you and that things are OK is a breath of fresh air. When people go radio silent it is hard not to worry about what may have happened. I am looking forward to the rest of Robocop!
