I used Coliro Pearl colors - M610 Tibet Gold paint and to fully cover the paper I had to mix is extra thick. Later, after I finished the challenge, I noticed how other artists are tackling gold paints. It seems that some of them do an undercoat of a similar color watercolor, kind of like staining the canvas, and then apply the cold. So even if the cold comes out uneven, the canvas/paper underneath will still remain a similar color. I think it's super smart and I will surely test it next time!
