Wow, honestly that makes a lot of sense ! I’m just now learning to truly use shapes, I had never been very good at it before. Thank you for the advice, I’m gonna try to keep the sphere technique in particular in mind when doing figure studies 😊😊😊

When sketching a simple featureless head I always think of the head as a sphere with shaved sides and a boxy and flat law. it's a very quick way to figure out what angles you want to go with later on in a more complex drawing. Usually the bottom line of the jaw will be parallel to the line of eyes.
