Thanks! I really appreciate all the kind words. c: When it comes to the expressions, I have always tried my best to be subtle yet meaningful. It is honestly what takes the most time with my renders, ironically enough, and if I can't get it right I will often abandon the project or come back to it later. When it comes to 3D stuff there's a tendency to push the model beyond the limit of what looks natural (or what the model can handle on a technical level). This often results in a more artificial look and feel. I don't have the technical knowledge to explain it, really, I just mostly go by feel and what seems right and what people seem to respond to.

And while I appreciate the version of the image in which Ellie is still wearing her shoes, I prefer the version where her shoes are sitting on the table in the background. Don't know why, but seeing her shoes on that table adds something to the image that makes it feel more like an intimate encounter between two people who love each other and just a couple of people fucking. I also like the fact that Ellie's right hand is gripping Joel's cock, almost as if she's guiding him to where she wants him to be. The furrow of Joel's brow reminds me of the game and his ornery disposition, but in this case, I think he's feeling possessive of Ellie and is on the verge of being overcome by his desire for her. Call me old-fashioned, but I LOVE vanilla. Seriously, I'm a HUGE fan of Ellie & Joel, and this scene is simply gorgeous.
