Some thoughts on the development process

Hi!

I've been working on a visual novel for about four months now, and I want to summarize a little bit in between.

I want to tell you that it's very difficult to develop a game alone. Even though, at the moment, I'm making all the images with 3D editors.

I want to remind you that if things go well, I will hire professional artists to redraw all the images in 2D.

3D editors make work very easy, but even with them the work is not progressing as fast as I would like it to. It sometimes takes hours to build a successful composition for an in-game image.

As I said before, I have a main job that has nothing to do with app development at all. The work is very hard, but I can't quit it, as I need to support my family. So I only have a few hours every three days to work on the game.

Despite all the difficulties, I don't want to give up on game development. On the contrary, I want to finish the game as soon as possible. And I'm looking for ways to speed up the development process.

I noticed that I spend a lot of time creating images, which will be included in the game gallery in the future. The game gallery is a library of art that is not available for viewing at the beginning of the game. Access to one image or another opens up as you progress through the game. The game gallery is currently empty, but I have already created some images for it. You can see all of these images in previous posts on my Patreon.

I think it would be best to put off creating images for the gallery for later. I'd rather devote more time to the game itself, and post working builds more often. I'll get back to making images for the gallery when at least the main storyline is complete.

What do you think of this idea? I think it's worth a try.

Well, the current working build of the game has already been sent to patrons at level $5 and up.

Thanks so much for the support!

Also want to remind you that English is not my first language. Therefore, I apologize if there were mistakes in the text.
