Mistress Mysterio Strikes Again!
Added 2019-11-16 00:40:24 +0000 UTCIt's Friday night again and time for another Spider-Gwen piece. This time she get's a woopin' from one of my personal favorite villain, turned female of course, Mysterio...or as I like to call her Mistress Mysterio.
This piece is heavily inspired and pretty-much aped from a panel from Amazing Spider-Man #311, drawn by Macfarlane. I was in love with his stuff back then when I was getting it off the shelf; but today, most of his work looks like shit. I really only liked that run on SM and that's about it. However, when he does it right, he knocks one out of the park. And with this panel, to this day, is the most bad-ass mysterio drawings ever. So I wanted to pay some homage to it.
As you can see in the tints file, I'm pulling back on the white "hot-spots" a bit. The last few pieces I did look like everything is coated in baby oil. That can be hot, but not on everything. I'm trying to rain it back a bit and return to the classic marvel house style coloring with some shades...and some tints here and there.
