Story 7 Progress - Intro Storyboarding

Hi Patrons,

It's been a chaotic week for me, but I've still managed to make some progress for the animation. This will be a small update on how things are going:

Animation Script Done - Now Storyboarding

The major plot points for Story 7 have been written down, so I am now in the process of translating the script into a visual slideshow (animatic). This can be a difficult phase, since I don't plan on utilizing dialogue. The characters' intentions and actions must read as clear as possible, otherwise the story won't make sense in the end.

Something new I'm doing this time around is the inclusion of light and dark shading tones in my storyboards. Hopefully it'll help describe the mood, focus, and depth of scenes for the final product. It's a tad more time-consuming, but I see professionals in the animation industry do it, so I'm giving it a shot.

The intro to this story is turning out to be pretty long - we're already 2 minutes in, and that's without including the full length of shots. About 75% of the intro has been drafted, and then I get to do the blocking for the musical portion of the fight! So things are starting to pick up.

Along the way, I've started to really hone in on Arzon's personality. He's a lot more chipper than GG's previous combatants, which is a breath of fresh air.

Streaming

I've picked up my stream frequency now that I'm drawing more now. The overlay has received some minor upgrades, so feel free to stop by and say hi.

I find myself feeling inspired to do a major overhaul of my stream, so over the next few weeks, you might see some more game-dev/coding posts. This'll be a big attempt at 3D game-dev, exciting stuff.
