The Xanathar Preview
Added 2018-08-10 19:07:59 +0000 UTCI wanted to preview this upcoming Xanathar miniature. Originally this was just going to be a reskin on the Beholder I'd previously created, but with the announcement of Dragon Heist and the Xanathar's role in that adventure I decided to just do a whole new unique miniature.
It's still a work in progress and some things may change. Here's the initial line work pass and the scribbled exploration I ultimately went with.

2018-08-16 03:38:58 +0000 UTCI think the pose would work better if the secondary ray didn't fire at the same spot as the first one (as in: the first one missed, now he's firing again. Now it looks like he's pissed at that specific piece of floor tiling). He'd have to look in the secondary direction as well to make that idea work. Nonetheless, amazingly impressive piece of work!
