This major incident is composed of two opposing forces. Larger hands allow players more defense and a reward for defeating opponents means more aggressive plays. The fiction here could be that they got eaten, but I like to think everyone is having a drink in their honor.
PS: Gensokyo is 100% a place where the murderer shows up to the funeral and drinks all the booze.
