Wolf of Black Market Patreon Preview
Added 2023-06-17 23:02:38 +0000 UTCHere it is! Big Box's new full sized deck is the Shop deck! This deck, combined with the Spirits deck, turns Danmaku!! into a pseudo deckbuilder game.
With Wolf of Black Market, everyone gets to exchange for cards from the market row, giving you agency over your build during the game. Spirit cards flip over to grant you bonus points for making exchanges.
The non-combatant touhous such as Morichika Rinnosuke and Heida no Akyuu finally arrive as assist characters available for hire in the shop. Each of these villagers will help you out in a huge way every single turn. Newer villagers Motoori Kosuzu and Okunoda Miyoi give you random extra characters to play around with.
Alice's dolls are also available for purchase! Shanghai Doll and Hourai Doll give you reliable extra attacks. While London Doll and Russian Doll allow you to harass your opponents and make them less effective.
There's lots of cool Power variants that give you extra passives. The Reliable Tanuki protects your other Powerups from harm, while the Centipede's Power lets you devour your opponents. Don't see something you want right now? Grab Purchasing Power to put high cost cards within your budget.
Speaking of budget, do you want an artifact but can't pay many points? The shop deck features low cost artifacts like Ability Card and Snake and Frog Amulets. These artifacts cost less than five points and can hold you over until you get something with god-like power such as Onbashira.
The shop deck features extreme-power artifacts as well, for a huge cost you can wield Roukanken and Hakurouken, which allow you to spam attacks that ignore other's defenses. Perhaps you'd like to share drinks and card advantage with your teammate via Oni Sake. No friends? Just grab Lævateinn and turn everything to ash.
This isn't even all, there's lots of cool defensive options like Idol Defense Corps and Annoying UFO. Powerful attacks like Impossible Spell Card and Psychokinesis are here to show everyone who is the final boss.

While I can't address everything in the post, I can say that a lot of the Patreon posts were previewing cards designed for the shop deck originally, or the art was intended to work for the shop deck cards. Before too long we should have a finalized version of the character and incident cards as well.

2023-06-20 00:37:26 +0000 UTC1. What if Blank Card was an instant instead of an action? It could be really goofy to use to try and disrupt someone's plans. 2. Is Purchasing Power supposed to use the kappa-talist incident art and the other is getting swapped, or is that just placeholder? 3. I'm surprised Underground Sun is that expensive, in the games I've played with it in the past it's a bit of a hindrance more than anything by the late-game. (Especially now that exchange limit is a thing.) 4. I'm a bit sad about the dolls leaving the main deck, I thought they were an interesting addition to it. Are any old cards or characters going to be updated with the new exchange limit rule introduced? I'm looking forward to trying a game with this new content, it all looks exciting!

2023-06-18 07:16:33 +0000 UTCIf you combine the earlier Lunatic Deck release with this one, you have what will be in Big Box. Shop cards that were previously released as main deck cards (like the dolls) you should remove. Cards like Take the Shot you can keep in the main deck.
