If a student was outside of the classroom, it was understood they had permission to be from their teacher. But then it was a fairly small school (and there's also the whole German tendency to want to follow the rules thing).

2025-02-13 22:44:26 +0000 UTCI've never seen a 'hall pass' until I was in 8th grade. The teacher had a wooden toilet seat hanging on the wall. I never thought about asking about it even though I was curious about it, until another student asked to be able to go to the washroom.
