Month Beginning Post: November 2024 Plans

Hello!

Fall is almost over already where I live 😞. It's been nice working on OL2 during this time of year. I'm gonna miss it when winter comes. But time continues its march forward, and progress here keeps coming along as well.

Monthly Content Plans:

Halloween is behind us now; I'll be writing and programming things unrelated to the spooky season.

I'm sure what many people are excited to hear about is that promised fall demo update for OL2. That will be launching this month! It's going to include the proper transition between Steps 1 and 2 and the introduction scenes for Opal, Tamarack, and Qiu. From there, it will continue into the Step 2 preview that's already in the demo. The Step 2 section is gonna be twice as long as before. This won't be ready until mid or late November. It still needs sound effects and some edits before it can come out of beta status.

As for more typical development plans, Step 1 scenes will be programmed again. A beta is gonna come out with at least half of a new childhood moment. I'm also going to write a second Moment for Step 2 and draft a third Moment. Plus, I'll continue to brainstorm the rest of the Step. Hopefully this month will have as much progress as October did.

Another piece of huge news is that the new community manager will come on board this month ✨. She'll be the one making posts on our public social media going forward (I'm still gonna do most stuff for Patreon). She'll also write progress updates for GB Patch Games going forward. I'm actually really slow at deciding what to say. Even though the posts I make are fairly short, it takes hours out of my schedule every month. It's gonna be a relief to not have to balance that on my plate anymore. Instead, I can focus on having more big word count days.

Though, in November I'll need to do extra business related work to make sure the community manager has a lot of support when first getting started.

Alright, that's the update. It might possibly be the last monthly update I put together myself. Future posts will have similar information, the explanation about it will just be written by someone else. Honestly, they'll probably be better going forward, haha.
