Month End Post: June 2024 Wrap-Up

June is over. I wish it wasn't! I feel like I spent the entire time being behind. But there was some major progress and things can just keep going in July. The end of the month doesn't mean it's too late to do anything. So for now, let's go over what did happen these past weeks-

Monthly Content Summary:

I made a big push on what remained of Step 1 for OL2. It didn't get it done, though there's not too much left.

11,400 words were drafted for the "Fall Ended" scenes. 34,350 words were scripted. That was finishing the 10th Moment of Step 1 and getting a decent way into the "Fall Ended" section. That gives a total of 45,750 words written out during June.

Only 10,000 words were programmed. That was to finish implementing Part 1 of Slumber Party. A beta released for that right at the end of the month.

What turned out to be a huge endeavor was the application process for hiring sensitivity and authenticity readers. That opened late May, but most of the work had to be done in this month. So many incredible people expressed interest in working on OL2. It was amazing and difficult to make a decision on. Ultimately, three readers joined the team during June. The post announcing that is linked below.

As great as that news is, not everything was good. I didn't release the OL1 artbook like I'd planned! I started uploading things after finishing up with the reader application process, then got busy again trying to program the OL2 beta, and just ran out of time. I'm sorry for that. I'm best at focusing on developing the game itself. Making posts and launching merch is always trickier to keep track of, aha.

At least I remembered to join the Summer Sales this year. Currently the OL1 DLCs, and our older projects, are on a discount ✨
